Cool Rise Method Pizza Dough
Ingredients
2/3 c Warm Water
1 Tbsp. + 1 ½ tsp. Yeast
2 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Salt
1 Tbsp and 1 tsp Oil
1 ½ c – 1 ¾ c. Flour DON’T PUT IN ALL AT ONCE
Dough Day one
1. Heat water slightly until warm to the touch.
2. Measure warm water into bowl, add yeast, stir with fork until dissolved
3. Stir with rubber scraper in sugar, salt, oil and ½ c flour
4. Add enough additional flour to make a stiff dough (at least 1 cup)
5. Knead on a lightly oiled surface for 8 minutes
6. Place dough on pizza pan and assemble pie. Keep in mind you need to place sauce, cheese, and any additional toppings. Place into two Kroger bags and label. Refrigerate!
Sauce Day One Pizza Sauce
Ingredients
1 c Pureed Tomatoes or Tomato Sauce
1 Bay Leaf
½ tsp. Oregano
½ tsp. Basil
½ tsp. Thyme
¼ tsp. Marjoram
1 tsp. Sugar
1. Place ingredients in a pan and bring to a boil.
2. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally
3. Place sauce on the shaped dough
Dough Day Twp
7. Take dough out of the refrigerator and let rise for about 1 hour 10 minutes 350 degrees
8. Top as desired, bake at 450 degrees for 10- 15 minutes. Eat and ENJOY
